Connected through prayer
Branches is a community built on the belief that no one should carry their burdens alone. We connect people — not through likes or followers or highlight reels — but through the most powerful thing one person can do for another: pray.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5
What is Branches?
Branches is a faith-based community where you can share what's on your heart, pray for others, and find churches and ministries near you. It's social media built the right way — where the only thing worth sharing is a burden, and the only response worth giving is prayer.
Share a prayer request
Tell the community what you're trusting God with. Post with your name or stay anonymous. No judgment, no pressure.
Pray for others
Browse open prayer requests and lift someone up with one tap. They'll know someone is praying for them.
Find your community
Discover churches and ministries near you or anywhere in the country.
How it works
- 1
Create an account
Sign up with your email or Google account. Set your display name and location so others know where you're from when they pray for you.
- 2
Share a prayer request
Tap Share in the navigation. Write what's on your heart — as much or as little as you want. Choose a category, add your city and state, and decide whether to post with your name or anonymously. Then tap Share.
Want to stay anonymous? Toggle “Post anonymously” before submitting. Your identity is never revealed — not even to admins — but your request will still be visible to the whole community.
- 3
Pray for someone
Tap Pray in the navigation to see open prayer requests from people across the country. When one moves you, tap “Pray for this.” The person who posted it will receive a notification: someone is praying for you.
You can also leave an emoji reaction or a short word of encouragement in the comments.
- 4
Add Branches to your home screen
For the best experience, add Branches to your phone's home screen. On iPhone: tap the Share icon in Safari and select Add to Home Screen. On Android: tap the menu and select Add to Home Screen. You'll get push notifications when someone prays for you — even when the app is closed.
- 5
Mark your prayer as answered
When God moves, let the community know. Find your prayer request, tap Mark as Answered, and share a brief testimony of what happened. Your story might be exactly what someone else needs to hold onto hope today.
A note on anonymous posting
Some things are too personal to share publicly — and that's okay. Branches supports fully anonymous posting. When you post anonymously your name is never shown, not even to other users. You can share what's on your heart without fear. The community will still pray for you.
Don't know where to start?
Prayer doesn't have to be complicated or polished. It's simply a conversation with God. If you're new to prayer or just aren't sure what to say, start here:
“Jesus, reveal yourself to [name] in ways that they will know. I pray that they will see Your love and feel Your presence in their lives. Use them today and bless them in every way. Amen.”
Fill in the name of whoever you're praying for — or just say “them” if you don't know their name. That's it. That's a real prayer. God hears it.
As you grow in prayer, you might find yourself saying more — asking God for specific things, thanking Him, listening quietly. But you never have to start there. Start with that one prayer above and let it grow from there.
Why we built this
Branches started with a simple conviction: that the body of Christ is scattered, and technology should help gather it — not for entertainment, not for engagement metrics, but for prayer. Every feature on this platform exists to make it easier for one person to lift up another. No ads. No algorithms. No follower counts. Just branches reaching toward each other.
You are not alone. You never were.
Free forever. No ads. No paywalls.
